Hoek van Holland is within easy reach by public transport.
From 1 April 2017, the railway between Hoek van Holland Strand and Schiedam Centrum is being converted into a metro line operated by RET. NS trains will continue to run between Schiedam Centrum and Rotterdam Centraal. From 1 April 2017, transport will be provided by RET and you will need an RET travel product for your journey.
For public transport travel between Hoek van Holland and Schiedam Centrum, you can choose between express bus services and a stopping bus service.
Bus line 711: express service between Hoek van Holland Zeeplein and Schiedam Centrum station
Bus line 712: express service between Maassluis West station and Schiedam Centrum station
Bus line 713: stopping service between Hoek van Holland Zeeplein and Schiedam Centrum station

From The Hague:
At The Hague Central Station you can take the tram (for example Randstadrail 4) and get out at the Leyenburg stop. At the Leyenburg stop you change to bus 35. Bus 35 follows the Loosduinen, Monster, ’s-Gravenzande route and ends in Hoek van Holland.
At station Delft you can take bus 128 in the direction of Naaldwijk. In Naaldwijk (Verdilaan stop) you change to bus 31 in the direction of The Hague. This bus shall stop in ’s-Gravenzande (Naaldwijkseweg stop). Here you change to bus 35 in the direction of Hoek van Holland.
