The Staelduinse Forest

The Staelduinse Forest is the only remaining forest area in the Westland.  It is located against the border of Hoek van Holland and is managed by the Foundation ‘The South-Holland Landscape’. The forest originated on inland dunes and is renowned for the wide variety in trees and birds. In 1997 the Staelduinse Forest was designated as Geological Monument thanks to its unique soil qualities. In the forest there is a marked walking route and a route for wheelchairs of about 3 kilometres each. For more information please check out
